Abdul Rahman Al-Jabarti is considered one of the most prominent historians in the history of Egypt. He was born in Cairo in 1756 AD and died there in 1825 AD. His family came from the village of Jabarti near the port of Zeila on the Red Sea, and his seventh grandfather immigrated to Egypt to become sheikh of the Jabartiyya Gallery in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and his father, Hassan al-Din Burhan, was his teacher.
