David Mitchell's Cloud Atlas is a mind-blowing work of 21st century contemporary British Literature. This book not only deals with the consumerist ideas that are embedded in specific narratives but also contemplates to expose semiotic signs in general and those related to the criticism of consumerism. It also reveals the Postmodern characteristics of the novel. Cenk Tan completed his secondary education at St. Gertrudiscollege in Northern Belgium. He obtained his B.A. degree from the department of American Literature at Hacettepe University in 2002. He acquired his M.A. degree from the department of English Literature at Pamukkale University. He is a Ph.D. candidate of English Lit. at the same University.
