Disaster research has been studied from many angles, seldom targeting its implications for vulnerable territories in Africa. Pamela Waldron-Moore is a Professor at Xavier University of Louisiana. Among her research interests are the political economy of development, gendered disparity, and climate justice. She is a recipient of Keynote Speaker awards for research on women and, also, the prestigious Jewel Prestage Mentorship Award from the National Conference of Black Political Scientists.
