When Lilith Fletcher, a lab assistant at Var.Co labs finds herself in a position to volunteer for the company's PortalX program, she is excited beyond belief. With the chance to visit a parallel dimension at her fingertips, Lilith finds herself overcome with excitement and anticipation, until her controlling fiancé, and crime patrol ranger, Garrett learns of her opportunity. With a stern warning should she disobey, Garrett refuses to allow Lilith to enroll in the PortalX program, proving to her that his bite is just as powerful as his bark.
Pining for adventure, Lilith escapes the control of Garrett and joins the program to become one of the first few to enter through the portal. On the other side, things are breathtaking and very different. It doesn't take long for Lilith to meet face to face with Garrett once more, only it isn't the Garrett she knows back home. This one is just as strong, just a fierce, but with a calm voice, and a gentle hand. Lilith quickly finds herself not wanting to leave, but her fiance has different ideas. Entering the portal on his own Garrett makes his way to the parallel to find Lilith and bring her home, but it won't be easy, not with his parallel on the other side, betting on Lilith's ability to stay.
