Ocean Garden

In her captivating new book, artist and avid beachcomber Josie Iselin returns to the seashore to reveal the unexpected beauty of seaweed. Produced on a flatbed scanner, Iselin's vibrant portraits of ocean flora reveal the exquisite color and extraordinary forms of more than 200 specimens gathered from tidal pools along the California and Maine coasts. Josie Iselin is a photographer, writer, and book designer with six previous books to her credit, including Beach Stones, Heart Stones, and Beach: A Book of Treasure. She holds a B.A. in Visual and Environmental Studies from Harvard University and an M.F.A. from San Francisco State University.
