Kenneth Grahame was a British writer born on March 8, 1859 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Kenneth first began writing stories to educate and entertain his son Alistair whom he had nicknamed " Mouse" and who had several health problems. Through the book, he hoped to teach his son to be more responsible and mature in his behavior towards others.
