This video course offers you a complete, clear repertoire for Black against 1.d4, based on the Queen's Gambit Accepted (1.d4 d5 2.c4 dxc4). By trading off the d-pawn, Black is aiming for an open game with free development for their pieces. Black doesn't mind trading-off the central pawn, but rather is motivated to challenge
White's centre and grab their opponent by the throat! Besides covering all the critical lines after 1.d4 & 2.c4, popular systems such as the Trompovsky, London/Jobava System, Torre Attack, Colle System and Veresov are dealt with as well. As against the main lines of the QGA, we are also treating these systems as actively as possible, looking for opportunities to seize the initiative. The video course is complemented by 20 exercises to test your knowledge, 10 positions to play-out to develop a better feeling for the type of positions, as well as a database with over 150 model games.

Born in 1988, Robert Ris is an International Master who has represented The Netherlands in various international youth events. Nowadays his main activities in the Amsterdam area consist of teaching in schools and chess clubs as well as coaching private clients. On top of that, he is also an active online trainer with a number of students from a host of different countries. Robert has made several appearances as a live commentator for prestigious events, such as the Dutch National Championships 2011-2013 and the Tata Steel Chess Tournament in 2013 and 2014.
