Each week listeners would be admitted to the sometimes fantastical, sometimes mundane life of -the lad `imself-. Aided and abetted by Sid James, Andrée Melly, Bill Kerr and Kenneth Williams, Hancock would enter into the spirit of each episode with characteristic dolefulness.
